Class Options

Our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Program is made up of various class options.

To participate in our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program you will need some equipment.  Below is a list of the equipment you are expected to have:

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu:
• A BJJ kimono also known as a gi.  You can wear any brand of gi you like but it must be a judo or BJJ gi and not a traditional martial arts gi.

No-Gi BJJ:
• There are no specific clothing requirements for this class. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move around and workout in. Please make sure it does not have zippers or sharp objects on it. Most people choose to wear board shorts and a rash guard to train.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals:

This class is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu basic theory, techniques, and principles. This class incorporates Professor Andre Galvao’s incredible modern Jiu Jitsu fundamentals curriculum. Fundamental movements and positional drilling are core components of this program as they will help to develop the students muscle memory and physical understanding of the sport. Students 16 and older are eligible for this class. This class is eligible for groupon members.

All Levels Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

This class is designed to build on the Atos BJJ fundamentals curriculum helping students to continue growing in the art of bjj. In this class the students will take a more in depth look at the fundamental techniques they learn and will also be introduced to many new positions that will help build on their strong fundamental understanding. Students 16 and older are eligible for this class. Groupon members cannot attend this class.

Adult Competition Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

This class is for those students that want to compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The class is very fast paced and requires a basic understanding of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and wrestling as a pre-requisite. These classes change between gi and no-gi based on the upcoming competitions and class length may vary based on where we are in the training cycle in relation to the competition. This class is invitation only. Please e-mail, or speak with, Coach Kevin if you would like to attend and feel you can contribute to the team!

No-Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

This is a bjj class teaching students how to do jiu jitsu without the kimono. In this class students will learn more advanced concepts and learn to structure all of the techniques they learn into a comprehensive system with a focus on not using the kimono for grips and attacks.

Executive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Executive Brazilian iu Jitsu is Grappling Mastery’s answer for professionals and executives that want to experience all the benefits of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Classes without the risk of injuries that could affect their lifestyle or career. This class is restricted to 36 year old men and women that want to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a safe and controlled atmosphere. It’s all about learning techniques and strategies to give you the edge you’re looking for.

Our Teen & Adults Martial Arts program is for ages 16 & up.

We offer month to month memberships as well as one year contracts

The UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) is an organization, not a type of fighting.  Fighters that compete in UFC events train in the disciplines of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, and wrestling.  So yes, we technically offer classes in “UFC fighting” but we prefer to call each martial art by its correct name. If you are interested in becoming a mixed martial arts (or UFC) fighter you must first develop a strong base of boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

We don’t have a specific training requirement. This is your membership and you will get out of it what you put into it. If you train once per week you will learn the skills, but if you train three or five times per week you will learn at a much more accelerated pace.  We understand that many people have busy schedules and simply encourage you to train as often as you can.  We believe that training three times per week will produce good results for most people!

Yes! We have multiple black belts and upper belts that have trained under the tutelage of many Legends and World Champions!

No, all of our Instructors request to be called Coach followed by thier last name.

You will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your first class. One of our instructors will call you, or you may call the school directly. You can also schedule an appointment with our automated scheduler which will appear after you provide us your contact information.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a contact sport and all contact sports carry the risk of injury but we promise to do everything possible to provide a fun and safe learning environment. Absolutely not! Our classes are a good mix of men and women of all fitness levels. The founder of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Helio Gracie, was still training in his 90’s! No matter what your age is, we have classes for you. Our fundamentals BJJ class is laid out in a way that allows you to learn technique with very little risk of injury.  By attending our fundamentals class you will begin to develop the technical skills necessary to enter our intermediate and advanced classes safely, so you can enjoy the lifelong journey of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu!
