The cardio intensity experienced in a kickboxing class is extreme, and that is why when we think of kickboxers we always imagine that most toned, ripped physique out of all mixed martial arts practictioners.
A single kickboxing class can burn anywhere from 600-1200 calories depending on intensity.
We kick bags until we are drenched in sweat, but also practice drills with other team members. The results are always the same: Fat melts, muscles get toned and your reflexes and determination achieve levels you never experienced before.

We offer month to month memberships as well as one year contracts
The UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) is an organization, not a type of fighting. Fighters that compete in UFC events train in the disciplines of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, and wrestling. So yes, we technically offer classes in “UFC fighting” but we prefer to call each martial art by its correct name. If you are interested in becoming a mixed martial arts (or UFC) fighter you must first develop a strong base of boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
We don’t have a specific training requirement. This is your membership and you will get out of it what you put into it. If you train once per week you will learn the skills, but if you train three or five times per week you will learn at a much more accelerated pace. We understand that many people have busy schedules and simply encourage you to train as often as you can. We believe that training three times per week will produce good results for most people!
Yes! Professor Kevin Scott is the first ever Caio Terra Association black belt, under nine time BJJ world champion, Caio Terra!
Kevin has never been into formalities. You can refer to Kevin as coach, instructor, professor, or just by his first name!
Our Martial Arts classes' primary goal is to make sure our students have fun in a enjoyable, safe environment. Come and see a class for yourself - we all have a blast and our instructors do too.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, and judo are contact sports and all contact sports carry the risk of injury but we promise to do everything possible to provide a fun and safe learning environment. Our goal is to keep you safe and healthy, so you can keep coming back on the mat to learn! We are one big family at our gym and everyone tries very hard to take care of their training partners!
Absolutely not! Our classes are a good mix of men and women of all fitness levels. The founder of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Helio Gracie, was still training in his 90’s! No matter what your age is, we have classes for you. Our fundamentals BJJ class is laid out in a way that allows you to learn technique with very little risk of injury. By attending our fundamentals class you will begin to develop the technical skills necessary to enter our intermediate and advanced classes safely, so you can enjoy the lifelong journey of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu!
We also offer an executive BJJ class for our older students. The executive class is for students 36 and older that want to train in a less competitive environment. Just remember this quote from BJJ legend Saulo Ribeiro: “It’s never too late, it’s never too bad, you’re never too sick, and never too old to start from scratch once again.” No excuses!!!
